Help Burmese Journalists and Media Personnel Affected by Cyclone Nargis

2 June 2008: On 2-3 May 2008 cyclone Nargis hit the coast of Burma and devastated large parts of the low-lying delta regions including Irrawaddy and Rangoon divisions. The cyclone caused catastrophic destruction and at least 90,000 fatalities with a further 56,000 people still missing.

More than 2 million survivors of cyclone Nargis are in urgent need of medical care, clean water, food and shelter. Among them include at least 82 families of Burmese journalists, writers and other media personnel. read more
